Mixing And Mingling

How handsome you are...! Oh, how charming! ... Pleasing is the frangrance of your perfumes; your name is like perfume poured out. No wonder the maidens love you! ...am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys. Like a lily among thorns is my darling among the maidens. Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest is my lover among the young men. I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste.

Highway Africa Fanning The Flames Of Pan Africanism

It is generally, British weather under African skies. The buildings still are the ensign of the colonial era.
The City of the saints, GrahamsTown, with over fifty churches, is beautified by the settlers or European architecture. Yes, A model of European civilisation.
Interestingly Rhodes University has crown herself as a centre and a melting pot for African Intellectual and Pan African Excellence.
It is where colonial history and African Renaissance merge to drive Africa forward.

In Memory Of Isabel, The Madam President

My Tribute

Isabel Chimangeni, like all great Africa's sons and daughters died in UK. A great loss to Zambians and Africa at large. To borrow from one writer: "One does not fix appointments with fate. Fate grasps whom it wants and when it wants." Shakespeare says in Julius Caesar: "The gods today stand friendly, that we may, Lovers in peace , lead our days to age! But since the affairs of men rests still incertain, Lets reason with worst that may befall. If we do lose this battle, then is this The very last time that we may speak together..."
"He (She) bears a great mind...Whether we shall meet again we know not. Therefore the everlasting farewell take. Forever and ever farewell... if we do meet again, why, we shall smile; If not, why then this parting was well made."

One of Isa's E-mails To Me

Can't Turn Back The Hands Of time

I am gripped by a strange kind of nolstagia. My mind is racing back to the times past. The years of my prime youth. The good old days!
I miss the rolling hills of my village, the small meandering river where my granny's cattle fed. I miss my childhood years. The summer sun shone bright in the mornings as I went to school. My granny would share with us bed time stories from the bible and pray for the entire family for God's protection and His guidance.
